This section introduces self-help books written by Dr. Aardema, the developer of ICBT, designed for individuals with OCD who are looking for a clear, structured way to understand and work with obsessional doubt using Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). These resources can also be used in conjunction with therapy, providing a shared framework that supports and deepens the therapeutic process.
The Doubt Illusion offers a concise and accessible introduction to how obsessional doubt is created and why it feels convincing despite being disconnected from reality. It provides a clear entry point into the I-CBT model.

The Resolving OCD series, consisting of two volumes, offers a more in-depth and progressive framework. It guides the reader from foundational understanding to advanced application, with structured exercises that map directly onto the processes that generate obsessional doubt. These books are designed for dual use: they can be used independently as self-help resources or alongside therapy as comprehensive companion workbooks.

One-Eye’s Journey (coming soon), together with its companion workbook, is designed for children aged 8–12, as well as their parents, caregivers, and therapists. Through a story-based approach, it introduces the same core principles of I-CBT in a developmentally appropriate and engaging way. The novel allows children to recognize the experience of doubt through metaphor and narrative, while the workbook gently supports reflection and understanding without turning the process into instruction or correction. It is intended for flexible use—independently, within families, or as part of therapy—while remaining faithful to the same model of understanding obsessional doubt.
